This week, we had the privilege to assist the German HQ of a leading global automotive supplier pass their inaugural TISAX® audit. This certification signifies a huge milestone in information security management for this organization, showcasing their dedication and expertise in meeting the new standard proactively on behalf of their automotive customers.
A major challenge during this implementation project was the presence of existing global management systems, including current ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications. These existing global, country, or business unit specific policies and processes frequently clashed with TISAX® controls, or left gaps in complying with the same. Changing these global documents would have not only been an uphill battle, but also required a time frame that would have been unacceptable for the market demands regarding the TISAX® label.
We pivoted mid project to make it all work out, nevertheless. The team’s meticulous efforts in aligning with corporate standards and addressing any gaps and variances through local policies and procedures were key in achieving a favorable assessment from the auditors. No small accomplishment in this complex constellation!
