CISA’s advisory linked below underscores just how vulnerable critical infrastructure can be. It is unlikely that attacks will cause individual harm, but they can be extremely disruptive, and cause distraction back home if some day some nefarious opponent were to take aggressive action on the world map.
Such protective effort doesn’t need to be of „War Games“ level complexity at all. All it takes to deter and deflect is to become a bit less of an easy target than the next town over. Solid procedures, training, awareness, and action plans are covering a long way to be that hardened target.
Working with external experts is one of the best ways to tackle these complex challenges and keep our community safe. Cybersecurity isn’t just a tech issue—it’s a community resilience issue.
